7 Ways to Walk Together
As part of our research, we explored what good collaboration looks like. Here are some of the ways we ask people to engage with us & young people.

Art & Culture
Bringing art, culture, dance and song in to your work helps us all create projects that are healing and powerful. Celebrate culture.
Giving Back
Consider how your work will give back to the community. What will change as a result of your project? Talk with us about this to make sure it is right.
Connection
Helping community members to connect is important. Young people working alongside Elders, for example, is a powerful way to work and strengthen connections.
Safe Spaces
Culturally safe spaces are important for helping young people feel comfortable to share their ideas, be heard and have influence.
Care & Respect
We know that care and respect matters when working together. Find your ways to show you care.
Honouring Contributions
Every little contribution is big. When working in our community your actions must genuinely convey this.
Same Pace
Walk at the same pace. We are all learning together as a community. Don’t step forward in a project until everyone understands the next steps, feels safe, and agrees.

Collaborate with us
Help strengthen communities for young people.
